Primary elections are happening now. Following the Supreme Court’s ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, states have moved fast to dilute Black and Brown voting power. Tennessee eliminated its only majority-Black district in eight days. Louisiana suspended some of its primaries after more than 104,000 people had already voted. Alabama tossed some of its primary results.
The civil rights movement was built for this moment. @LawyersCommittee and the Election Protection Coalition are on the ground and on the phones to make sure no eligible voter is locked out.
