Primary elections are happening across the country, and the stakes have never been higher. The Supreme Court’s ruling in Louisiana v. Callais has already unleashed a race to discriminate, with states moving fast to redraw maps and limit Black and Brown voting power. Tennessee eliminated its only majority-Black district eight days after the ruling. Louisiana suspended some of its primaries mid-election and Alabama tossed some of its primary results. But voters are not powerless. @Lawyers’ Committee and the Election Protection Coalition are using every tool available to protect the right to vote - in the courts, in statehouses and at the ballot box. If you have questions or face any barriers at the polls, real-time help is available. Call or text 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) or visit 866OurVote.org. It’s against the law for eligible voters to be blocked or intimidated at the polls by anyone, including poll workers, law enforcement officials or politicians.
